There is also a gallery as part of the Museum of Polimlje, which occupies an area of 82 m². It has all necessary equipment, which ensures the high quality of exhibition of art. There are up to ten various artistic exhibitions per year. The hallway leading to the gallery is often used for the exhibitions as well, since it is also equipped for that purpose. It occupies an area of 35 m².
Miomir Mišo Popović ( 1929-2010)
He was born in Priboj (Serbia), where he finished the primary school. After finishing high school in Berane, he continued his education at the Faculty of Philosophy and at the Art Academy, in Ljubljana and Belgrade. He was in the class of a professor Riko Debenjak in Ljubljana, and a professor Cuca Sokić as well as a painter Milo Milunović in Belgrade. After graduating, he returned to Berane and became a teacher at the high school. He returned to Belgrade in 1959 and started working in a news and publishing company “Politika”. He moved to Paris in 1962, where he lived and worked until the end of his life.
Mišo Popović donated 200 oil paintings from the various stages of his work to the Museum of Polimlje. These paintings are periodically exhibited in the gallery of the Museum of Polimlje, as well as in the museums and galleries in the region.
